Meet the Fleet Poster

NJ TRANSIT’s Rail Division commissioned a custom Art Deco–inspired poster for its annual Meet the Fleet event, a public celebration showcasing the agency’s rail operations and equipment. The design was created to capture the excitement of the event while honoring the elegance and bold graphic language characteristic of the Art Deco movement.

The featured locomotive was selected because it would be on display during the event, creating a direct connection between the promotional materials and the visitor experience. The poster’s color palette adheres to NJ TRANSIT’s established brand standards, ensuring consistency across agency communications while allowing the artwork to stand out as a commemorative piece.

To reinforce the event’s location and sense of place, the illustration incorporates Hoboken Terminal’s iconic clock tower, a recognizable landmark and focal point of the venue. In addition to serving as the primary promotional graphic for the event, the artwork was adapted for commemorative T-shirts and other event materials, extending its reach beyond the day of the celebration.
